Government Support for the Renewable Heat Incentive
The Governments Long awaited reforms to the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), which will be introduced in March 2017, have been published by the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
The domestic RHI, which to date has led to 50,000 household switching to renewable, low carbon heating, will continue to support all four technologies.
- The tariff for Solar Thermal will remain at it’s current level of 19.4p/kWh
- The tariff for Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) have been increased by 35.8% from 7.51p/kWh to 10.02p/kWh
- The tariff for Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) incresing 1.1%
These changes to the Renewable Heat Incentive will be applicable on applications or after the 14th of December
